What happens if it rains on your wedding day?

The most common question I get is “What happens if it rains?”

Wedding Packages NYC suggests 3 options:

  1. Proceed as planned and have your ceremony in the rain with opened umbrellas. I did this at my wedding with 60 guests!
  2. Arrange for the ceremony to take place where you will have your wedding dinner or reception.
  3. We have a wedding chapel located on 8th Ave. & 56th St. You can have your ceremony there at no additional cost.

I had a lot of rain on my wedding.

I remember that as I was home finishing up my make up, when I saw the sky turned completely dark, and then a huge storm broke out, right before my ceremony. Water was coming down like falls. My soon-to be husband and my friends had already decided to go under the arches of Bethesda Terrace. But then it stopped and I wanted to go outside by the lake. And so we did.

But the weather was still really bad and the skies were covered with clouds. Sure enough, soon after I arrived the rain came back again. But we were all set by the lake so we decided to Stay and just open our umbrellas. I had the most wonderful time of my life because I was marrying the man I love. I couldn’t care less about the rain. But I know that many people do. For those couples who prefer to have a dry wedding day, we can offer a number of options: From going under the arches at Bethesda to renting a space indoors. Ultimately it’s up to you, we can always arrange for an indoor location, for an extra fee.
