I have to be honest, I am not a fan of ceremonies done by the Brooklyn bridge.
Yes, I know that it’s an awesome spot for photos, and that you can really see the iconic New York City skyline from there, but as far as conducting the ceremony by the bridge, well that’s a big mistake!
The Brooklyn bridge is the host of 3 subway lines, in addition to a generous amount of cars that never stop passing by. The most coveted spot to stand on for your wedding ceremony would be right by the beach where the sand meets the water. I get it, it’s beautiful. But it’s also the noisiest place in the entire New York City! And Yes, I do mean even noisier than Times Square.
In addition to the noise from the traffic, you must keep in mind that this area is also heavily visited by tourists 365 days a year. The Brooklyn Bridge, much like Times Square, is one of the most visited spots in the world. Everyone who comes to New York City wants to take some photos here. You are not the only one who thinks this is pretty. LOL
And for this reason, you can anticipate having to fight the tourists and visitors in order to enjoy some privacy.
My personal advice is always to try to have the ceremony in a quiet place (such as Central Park, a restaurant, a hotel) and THEN go to the Brooklyn Bridge to take some amazing wedding photos. This way you will have the best of both worlds. You will have a romantic and PRIVATE wedding ceremony and you will also get your desired New York skyline photos.
This amazing Beautiful couple celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in New York City! They had their vow renewal ceremony in Central Park by Wagner Cove, followed by a romantic photo session around the park. They were picked up by our vintage Checkers cab, that took them to the Brooklyn bridge promenade where they had a lovely photo session. Their magical day concluded in Times Square. Our taxi cab driver dropped them off at their hotel (The W hotel in Times Square). They had a dream day! Thank you for entrusting us with your big day!
